Huge subject. We have fed modified raw diet to pups till 1 1/2 yr old. The biggest thing is not to give a Giant bred pup regular puppy food. Low protein and moderate to high fat. HOV can be caused by giving a Dane pup too high of protein. Also we would recommend high quality even Holistic foods they cost the same in the long run. You will cut down on the poop and how the poop breaks down in your yard. No Corn.

We would suggest Yogurt daily to every other day or cottage cheese. Helps digestion
Keep pumpkin in the house a natural cure for diarrhea.
Change foods slowly and use raised feeders
